Interlake

A little brewpub in the Icelandic capitol of Canada - Gimli Manitoba – home of Vikings and Fjallkona, the Maid of the Mountain.  Located in a rundown former family restaurant, a stone’s throw away from the lakeshore of Lake Winnipeg.  The renovated building was gutted, with major structural, mechanical, electrical, life safety, etc., revamps required to make it functional for a new restaurant, bar, microbrewery, retail outlet and rooftop patio.  The newly inhabited rooftop is a welcome addition, opening up glimpses of the beach beyond, and creating an outdoor venue for live music and a winter ice bar, complete with its own mini curling rink.
