A basecamp prefabricated to sit gently alongside the shores of Lake Winnipeg, for use while clearing trees and prepping the site for four new cottages. With road access not yet available, the decking, plastic poles, and translucent tarp were incrementally toted in to the site. Clear plastic end walls, with peel-and-stick zippers splitting them down the centre for access and ventilation, complete the simple palette. The small tent provides shelter for sleeping and storing axes, saws and other weekend warrior tools of the trade. A cast iron wood-burner radiates its warm glow as occupants drift off after long days of lumbering.
