A major rethinking of a small side-by-side in an historic Toronto neighbourhood. The project takes advantage of the site’s unique condition of being blessed with two street fronts and exploits the City’s zoning updates that promote densifying existing neighbourhoods. The site is adjacent to ongoing upgrades to rapid transit rail lines, so is a prime location for urbanites, only half a block away from the very vibrant Queen Street. Although the site is less than 15 feet wide, it packs in three unique residences, including: one that salvages the existing historic Second Empire façade; a tiny basement studio; and a skinny “tower” with a rooftop terrace perfect for train-spotting.
