A compact floating retreat moored on the edge of a tiny spring-fed pond in a former gravel pit. The site is left virtually untouched, other than a garden for growing produce, with the vessel hovering above the pond’s surface. Constructed as an assemblage of savaged and new construction including old aluminum windows, plastic BBQ sauce barrels, corrugated tin roofing and an old woodstove. There are no services to the site. Candles and kerosene provide light, with a wood burning stove and gas BBQ for cooking and heat.
