An ephemeral, temporary installation, conceived by a group ambitiously tasked with attracting the attention of patrons attending various events, at various locations, across Winnipeg for a national architecture conference – as well as arousing the interest of the general public's man-in-the-street. The week-long event saw the mobile assemblage posted outside venues including a pair of art galleries and the closing night across from a favourite drinking establishment. When not parked at conference venues it was erected on a busy downtown sidewalk, alongside food trucks and street vendors. A donated scissor lift was draped with a backlit translucent green fabric, dotted with lofty quotes from various urbanites, from Marshall McLuhan to Woody Allen. The fifty-foot sail structure was wind challenged, requiring constant monitoring to avoid being toppled.
