A compact summer cabin on the shores of Lake Winnipeg featuring a cylindrical red spa glowing warmly in the dense surrounding forest. The main living spaces are sheltered in a long, salvaged aluminum clad wedge, that opens along its length with a continuous window-wall facing the lake. The cabin is entered via an open screen porch that splits the plan between living spaces and a sleeping/dart throwing room. Sliding glass doors unite the three zones into one big room. Natural light floods the cabin, with a skylight spanning the length of the roof, translucent walls in the pantry connecting the washroom, and the red drum with its own clear roof.
